Denison University is honored to announce the establishment of The Dr. William Osborne Fine Arts Scholarship through the generosity of Amy MacDonell '79 and James Gentner '70. This endowed fund pays tribute to Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts Emeritus William "WO" Osborne, whose dedicated service to Denison spanned over four decades (1961–2003).
For generations of students, WO was more than a professor; he was a unifying force who connected the campus through song, spirit, and aspiration.
Contributions to this endowment ensure that WO’s legacy remains a part of the Denison experience. The fund provides the resources necessary to attract and retain talented students whose passion for the arts will enrich our community in perpetuity. By supporting this fund, you are investing in the next generation of artists who will carry forward the aspiration WO so famously championed.
